Nicholas P. Manning promoted to President of PRIER Products

PRIER Products is pleased to announce the promotion of Nicholas P. Manning to President of Prier Products. Mr. Manning becomes the active President providing the direction for PRIER in the day to day business activities while continuing to direct the Sales and Marketing Department. Joseph E. Poskin, Chief Executive Office, is turning over the reins to Manning as he turns to focus on business development, including strategic product and marketing opportunities as well as operational and real estate improvements.

Nick came to PRIER in 1995 with experience as a plumbing products manufacturer’s representative and his natural leadership skills have been a perfect match for the Sales and Marketing department. Nick created the customer service philosophy for PRIER that states, ”PRIER wants to be the best vendor our customers do business with”. As Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Nick grew PRIER’s sales exponentially over the past eight years and carefully navigated the purchase and assimilation of a competitor in 2007. A few of his accomplishments include: development and training of 32 representative agencies across the country, PRIER’s inclusion into three of the industry’s most influential buying groups, Prier’s entrance in the retail arena, the development of PRIER’s catalog, marketing literature and the creation and improvement of the new PRIER website.

“Nick has been so much the heart and soul of PRIER. His dedication, strength of character and natural ability to lead have helped make PRIER the premiere provider of hose threaded valves and plumbing brass,” said Poskin. “Nick is the main reason PRIER is known in the industry for our exceptional service. He will make a great president.”

Nick makes his home in south Kansas City where he would tell you that he has been blessed with five children and Patti, his beautiful wife of 18 years. Nick is very much a family man and is always involved in his children’s lives. As a father and coach, he can often be found getting his kids to school, a soccer game or a basketball practice. Mr. Manning is also active at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church where he is a volunteer, committee person and coach. His other interests include cooking, golf and supporting the Chiefs, Royals and Tigers.
