Prier is a manufacturer of primarily plumbing products.
Founded in 1881 as a brass foundry by a German emigrant named
Anton Prier in Kansas City, Missouri. Prier manufactured cast
brass items applicable for life at the end of the 19th
Century...coach lanterns, plaques and other specialty items.
Brass, being a nonferrous metal, lends itself nicely to water
applications and soon Prier began pouring various plumbing
products. After inventing and patenting one of the first self
closing faucets, Prier began to increase their offering and grow
their sales to the plumbing industry.
Because of our reputation for heavy pattern, high quality
products, over the years the Prier name grew in prestige
throughout the plumbing industry. From the Kansas City, Missouri
manufacturing facility, Prier designed, founded, machined,
assembled, tested, marketed and supported all of the products
they sold. In addition to the plumbing industry, Prier also uses
their considerable capability and experience to manufacture items
for use in numerous industries, including, but not limited to
shipbuilding, heavy industrial machinery and food processing.
Sound principles, quality products, careful workmanship and
skilled handling of customers' inquiries and problems have
enabled Prier to grow steadily to this day. Presently Prier
offers products from four main product groups: Freezeless
Hydrants, Angle Sill Faucets, Drain Products and Gas Log Lighter
Equipment. Our products are second-to-none in terms of quality
