Prier's plumbing brass is one of the last manufacturers to continue to use red brass castings. Virtually all import manufacturers utilize less costly and less durable yellow brass, which typically has a high content of lead. Red brass will not dezincify as yellow brasses will, and, like all Prier products, are designed to last the life of the plumbing system.

Prier’s plumbing brass utilizes a packing nut instead of an O-ring seal for years of dependable life. If an O-ring valve begins to leak, it is difficult to impossible to repair. Prier has repair parts for our products going back 50+ years.
