Prier Products, Inc. is pleased to announce the purchase of the assets of Mansfield Plumbing Products’ Brass Fitting business.

The sale will allow Mansfield Plumbing Products and their Manufacturers Representatives to focus exclusively on their China and Fiberglass businesses and to realize their mission of being recognized as the world's best sanitary ware manufacturer.

Prier Products will add the Mansfield’s Frostproof Hydrants, Plumbing Brass, Brass Ballcocks and valve business to their already extensive offering of Wall Hydrants, Angle Sill Faucets, Drainage Products and Gas Log Lighter Equipment. Current Mansfield customers will purchase these products from Prier and realize additional profit opportunities with Prier’s inventory saving features and unparalleled customer service. This purchase will fit nicely as a significant portion of Prier’s existing business is the Wall Hydrant category.

Prier is pleased to welcome Steve Berry PE, to Prier as Research, Development & Engineering Manager. Steve is a Registered Professional Engineer with significant experience in project management and Design. Steve is currently getting his feet wet at Prier, learning the different aspects of our business. He is ultimately responsible for all the Research & Development at Prier, getting our pipeline full of new & innovative products to help you expand your market share, and most importantly, your commission checks!

Steve is a long time resident of the Kansas City area, is married with two Sons. Steve is active in Boy Scouts and has recently began to rekindle his interest in playing music. Please join us in welcoming him to Prier.

Prier is pleased to welcome Laura Dusheke to Prier as Accounting and Office Manager. Laura has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting, with many years experience in the field. She is ultimately responsible for all the Accounting and Bookkeeping at Prier.

The new Prier C-634 has been available on the market for just about a year. In that time, we have had requests from our customers to expand options this product offers. We are pleased to announce the following:

New P Style Seat for C-634 - The new P Style seat for the C-634 is a combination 3/4" Female Sweat x 1" Male Sweat. Many contractors have requested this option for this product, Prier is proud to offer it as an option. It can be ordered today by changing the "N" in the part number to a "P". If you order a C-634P12, you will get a 12" Heavy Commercial Wall Hydrant with a combination 3/4" Female Sweat x 1" Male Sweat.

1" Hose Thread for C-634 - The C-634 has always offered adequate flow to meet code even with a 1" hose thread, now Prier offers it as a standard option. Simply change the C-634 to a C-636, and it will be shipped with a 1" hose thread. 1" Hoses are typically used in irrigation applications. Prier is the only manufacturer offering a 1" hose thread that meets ASSE Standards and has IAPMO approval. If you order a C-636N12, you will get a 12" Heavy Commercial Wall Hydrant with a 1" Hose Thread outlet.

Each day we strive to make the products Prier offers even better, Angle Sill Faucets are no exception.

We have recently changed the backflange on the Angle Sill Faucets to make it larger, and easier for your customer to install. Previously the backflange on this product was rounded with screwholes right next to the valve, making installation more difficult than it needed to be.

The new flange on Prier Angle Sill Faucets pushes the screwholes out to 2 1/2" centers, our previous design was under 2" center-to-center design.

This is a "running change" at Prier, so the new flange will be phased in over time. The following items are now utilizing the new Flange Design:

Prier announces the introduction of our innovative New C-634 Heavy Commercial Freezeless Wall Hydrant

Prier Products is pleased to announce the introduction of our New C-634 Heavy Commercial Wall Hydrant. The new C-634 has features that will make it the “Engineers choice and the installers dream.”

Single Hole Installation

-The New Prier C-634 installs through a simple 1 ³/₈” round opening. The installer is no longer required to cut out a 2” by 3” square opening to install a heavy commercial wall hydrant that is required by other products.

Quick Opening/Quick Close

-The New Prier C-634 is quick opening/quick close design that delivers water faster than other similar products on the market.

Highest Flow Rate

-The flow rate on the New C-634 is 19 gallons per minute at 25 psi, over double what the published flow rate is on other similar products.

Versatile Inventory Options

-As an option, the New C-634 Heavy Commercial Wall Hydrant is available with a hydrant box. The box is a separate item from the hydrant that will allow distributors and contractors to have fewer dollars committed to inventory, while having the product they need.

Proven Long Life

-The New C-634 Heavy Commercial Wall Hydrant has been tested to 250,000 cycles. Needless to say, it is designed to last the life of the plumbing system.

Listed & Labeled

-The New C-634 Heavy Commercial Wall Hydrant is approved to ASSE standards and will be listed with ASSE, UPC and CSA.

Prier introduces Freezeless Wall Hydrants compatible to Wirsbo and Rehau PEX Systems

August 22, 2003-Kansas City, Missouri-Prier Products Inc. is pleased to announce the availability of Freezeless Wall Hydrants that are compatible with Wirsbo and Rehau PEX Systems.

This new product offering from Prier will allow Plumbing Contractors using either the Wirsbo or Rehau proprietary PEX Systems the benefits of installing Prier Freezeless Hydrants in the system without the normally required extra labor of soldering a fitting into the Freezeless Hydrant. Prier now offers Freezeless Wall Hydrants for installation with use with Crimp, Wirsbo and Rehau Pex Systems.

Prier announces 2002 Manufacturer’s Representative Awards

Prier receives UPC Approval on Freezeless Wall Hydrants

Prier Products, Inc. is pleased to announce that the company has received UPC Approval by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) for the Prier C-144 Residential Freezeless Wall Hydrant, C-434 Residential Freezeless Wall Hydrant, C-534 Commercial Wall Hydrant and C-634 Commercial Wall Hydrant.

By receiving this approval, Prier is now able to market and sell their complete line of Freezeless Wall Hydrants throughout the United States.

The stem of the Prier Freezeless Hydrant is secured at both the seat and body, eliminating problems associated with noise or rattling under flow. This design allows Prier to manufacture a Freezeless Hydrant at any length; our longest to date is 15’ long!

Prier introduces C-240 Economy Bury Hydrant

Prier Products is pleased to announce the addition of the C-240 Economy Freezeless Ground Hydrant to our Freezeless Hydrant product offering.

The C-240 Freezeless Ground Hydrant is an excellent compliment to Prier’s full featured C-250 Ground Hydrant, with a price point that is below the C-250. The C-240 Ground Hydrant is available in bury depths from 1’ to 6’ from stock. Additional sizes are available upon request.

The C-240 Ground Hydrant features a heavy cast iron head with locking handle. The operating rod is stainless steel. Travel adjustments are accomplished by a "double nut" assembly, eliminating problematic set screws. The plunger is a one-piece design that ensures positive shutoff, even if foreign articles are present. The plunger will not adhere to the brass body, allowing for long wear life.

Prier names Kevin Lutz Customer Service and Sales Support Manager

Prier Products is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Lutz as Customer Service and Sales Support Manager. Kevin's appointment is effective as of April 12, 1999.

Kevin is responsible for all Customer Service operations, including order processing, technical support and Manufacturer's Rep Support.

Kevin holds both a Journeyman and Master Plumbers License. He was a principal in Lutz Plumbing of Shawnee, Kansas until April of 1999 when he sold his interest in the business.
